Remove clumps and solid waste daily to keep the rest of the litter fresh. 3) Add more ARM & HAMMER HardBall Clumping Lightweight Cat Litter to replace what you have scooped out and maintain a depth of 3 – 4 inches. Once a month, empty the entire litter box. SWITCHING WITH EASE TO HARDBALL CLUMPING LITTER: 1) Pour 1 inch of ARM & HAMMER Clumping Litter into a clean litter box and add 1 – 2 inches of your old litter brand on top. Do not mix; your cat will mix as it is used. 2) The next time you change the litter box, fill with 2 inches of ARM & HAMMER HardBall Clumping Litter and 1 – 2 inches of your old litter brand. Repeat this for 3 to 4 changes, lessening the amount of your old litter each time. 3) Fill the litter box with 3 – 4 inches of ARM & HAMMER HardBall Clumping Litter. At this point the transition should be complete! However, some cats do need more time, so don't give up and repeat Step 2 as needed.
